It's The Weekend!

I am sure glad the work week is over with because it couldn’t have gone any slower. This time of the year is our slow time and I should be used to it but it is not something you can really get used to. I like to keep busy to make the time go by faster and that is sort of hard to do when there isn’t much to do. My boss knows this and tries his best but there is only so much he can do. I wish I didn’t need my full paycheck because he does give us the option of clocking out early and going home. A lot of my coworkers take full advantage of that opportunity too but I’m too cheap to do that myself. I live on a pretty tight budget and need every last dollar that I can get. I have credit card debt to thank for that but that is nobody’s fault but my own. I went a little overboard a few years ago and maxed out three different cards on stupid stuff. I am paying it back but with the interest rates being so high I can only do so much. As long as nothing big comes up in the next two years I’ll have them all paid off.

As far as this weekend goes I don’t have any big plans. I’m supposed to go over to my friend Tony’s house later tonight to watch the game but I don’t even know if I will go. For starters I don’t even like hockey all that much. I mean it is exciting when they score a goal but that is a rare occurrence it seems. All the play in-between is extremely boring to me mainly because I have no idea what is going on. Hockey is the one sport I never played when I was a kid so I don’t know all the rules. The only one I sort of know is the icing rule but even that catches me off guard when it happens. Tomorrow I will probably go over and see my Dad for Father’s Day. He isn’t big on celebrating it but I know he will be happy to see me as will my Mom. I’ll probably stay over there for dinner and hopefully my sister Amy is there too with her kids. I haven’t seen my two nephews in weeks and miss the little guys.
